White house considering to give $1,000 per month to all Americans During coronavirus

What is this, socialism? --- every Republican voter

yeah, well those republican’s are also counting on rents to be paid. The dominos are in place, the extent by which it ripples through our society remains to be seen.

Small gov great...which means no trillion dollars bailouts every 10 years ....what happens to the building of solid good markets when funny money becomes the norm...all confidence is lots...this is a historical fact

It's a pandemic. If not now, when? We haven't had "solid markets" since pre-Nixon.

Corp tax cuts don't work because they're regressive. You gotta fund the consumer as the only way out of this is spending at the checkout.

The governments around the world are acting like we're all screwed. They're either idiots or they know something we don't.
Look at the wholesale liquidation of MBS like Bxmt. Reminds me of 2008 when I bought a ton of PHK at ($2.90s) because of dividend suspended plus nobody showed up for ABS Auctions. They always know something in my opinion, their paid to. Also, Ichan is short paper so what did his high paid analysts discover?

It's all about perception though, bailing out the corporate companies as opposed to directly the people has worked at least as far as temporarily slowing down the inevitable. Sure, there's no way to know but it's plausible giving money directly to the people may have change perception enough to where things were to fall apart sooner (not debating whether that would be good or bad at the moment).

You're thinking about it after the fact in a linear way, and you're not really wrong at face value, I can see logic in what you're saying. But if you dig deeper into, you can start to potentially see why that wasn't the path they were going to take. They don't necessarily care about you or the public... people act in there own self interest.

Companies just need to pull themselves up by the bootstraps and stop eating avocado toast and drinking expensive coffee.

Why can't they build an emergency fund of 6 months or more?

But yes, I see what you are saying.

That's funny, are you against Socialism for Corporations or should we allow Darwinian Capitalism to proceed? How are we going to pay for all the Bailouts?
