my point is you are complaining that youtube and twitter and FB are deleting posts....
they are no different than ET with the right to moderate and delete whatever they see fit because they own the site...
whether you do it or not is irrelevant because you have the power to do so if you choose
I've had a handful of message posts deleted...never a reason explained until I asked why. Strangely, a few of them have been here in the Political threads in support of a sponsor although I was once told I was "off topic".
- Hmmm, off-topic here in the Political threads.

In addition, I'm banned from a few threads outside of the Political section in which I'm not allowed to post in those threads while others can. Yet, I have not recently checked those threads to see if the ban has been removed/remains nor do I care because the posters no longer post here @ ET.
Lastly, I've seen countless members here at ET banned for their message posts although I'm in agreement about the bans of those members even though some of those members believe they did not violate the TOU policy here at ET.
My point,
there's censorship here just like any other forum, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and any other social media site. Yet, I'm OK with the censorship here @ Elitetrader.com as long as it cancels out the racists, members making threats to harm other members, and canceling those that post constant regurgitation of Covid misinformation/disinformation that actually does harm the welfare, health, and safety of others.
P.S. I still remember the first time I had a message post deleted by a moderator. It was in a TA thread by dphoenix in which he "incorrectly" posted the wrong chart while talking about the TA of another market.
I corrected him via posting the correct chart plus posting TA on the chart of the exact same TA he was trying to explain.
The chart was deleted
without explanation. Later in the day, dphoenix sent me a private message to explain that he in fact had asked the moderator to delete my message post because he felt I had "embarrassed him" along with
implying that if I wanted to post in his threads...I should ask first.
I never posted in that TA thread again.
