First of all - nobody said you can
see on a chart what institutions and big players do, so that's a strawman argument. But your view then is that a trader have to
see what institutions and big players do in order to succeed. Is that really true?
Arguably, the only thing a directional trader needs is price change, i.e., price moving from A to B. For whatever reason. It's irrelevant
why price moves from A to B as long as you can buy at A and sell at B. If youi can spin a story on why it happened or explain it, no harm done and it may increase your confidence level, but is it really necessary?
Simplistically, then. Can a chart, naked or with indicators, show/signal when/where price is about to change?
Personally, I think yes. But I also think there's more to know about a market than can simply be seen on a chart and other ways to perceive the market which lets you
see more, so we may not be in (complete) disagreement after all.
