I could be wrong but don't you get the feeling that there is less of that stuff now than there was in the even recent past?

Baron adding the 'Like' feature has made a huge difference. More respect among posters now and less misunderstandings.

Sadly, he was driven off the site by incessant trolling.

depending on who you choose, it is possible to see at what level you are now as a "trader". the kind of information you considered as good reflects your knowledge, or lack of it.

most posters are good for entertainment, only a few are good for sharing knowledge. so being mentioned many times does says nothing about the quality of the poster.
