Which trading strategy/method makes on avg the highest profit per month?

Depends on the risk.
I do risk 5% (max loss) per day and achieve +1.3%.
I day trade news and the opens, for about an hour every day.
If there is not enough volatility then I don't even day trade for the day.

Everyone has his own personality, preferences.
That won't make you 30% a month if you skip even one day. So, if you skip one day, the next day you need to do 2.6%....

It’s not 1.3% per day but in average

0.95 x 1.05 x 1.05 = 1.5% per day in average

Yeah, that would be OK with me! I would have nothing to complain about it... :)

My impression is that there is much more possible in the financial markets for small accounts, if only done right...
The deeper I analyse the market data the more opportunities I find, but unfortunately most of the found trades require big pockets.
In a year or so I'll make use also of these trade opportunities :)
My humble suggestion, as an older guy with some experience, is not to rush it, a modest 30% a year is easier and you can become a millionaire within a decade or so.

Becoming one by the time you are a thirty something is not too bad. :finger:

I am just guessing, young guys have plenty of time but no patience, us older guys have no time but plenty of patience. :D

30% a year is better than being greedy broke.
Sometimes it just takes a decade to get it.

You are doing very well.
I'm not clear on how you are defining risk? Is that 5% of your trading account?
Is 1.3% the Total realized gains / number of days traded?
How many days did you use in your calculation to come up with 1.3%

There has never been a Stock, Forex or Futures trading Champion in the past, who won the competition day trading. LMAO

If you desire an answer to your question, research the traders and their methods who have won those competitions.
Hello mikeriley,

Futures Trading Champion Compeition is not the only traders in the world and not account for all the day to day volume in the market.

Day trading is one way to get rich trading, not just swing trading.

For a small account (< $100k), which trading strategy/method makes on avg more than 30% profit per month?
I guess it can only be automated daytrading, right?
Which markets/assets/instruments? Options?
Hello Quanto,

The strategy with best returns are pure trend followng...but that is the very long term. In short to mid term you can be losing little/winning little or breakeven in between. Its best to combine with shorter term higher winrate trades to keep your sanity at times.
