Which Prop Firms provide the best mentorships and training?

Quote from Rocco11:

Don,

Sorry for the late reply, but I was out of the country for a week. The Iris pairs program doesn't trade prop. I use Takion for my prop account and I also use Takion for pairs, but Iris is a different setup than on the prop side. Thanks

What is Iris pairs program? What is Takion? Eager to learn. Thanks.

If I want to cut the middlemen (like echo or Bright) and trade directly, what is required? Do I need to become a broker-dealer ? What is the minimum capital required to become a broker-dealer? Asking since in futures world, a trader can directly go to a clearing firm without a broker and clear with them. Curious, how it works in equities world at really high volume level? Thanks for your input.

yes you can cut out the middlemen if you like just deal with a firm that is a member of the exchanges you require. speak to Wedbush.

less leverage and much lower commissions. if you are moving volume 10c per 1000 commission isn't a problem. by volume I mean 100m+ pm on a single stock.

hope you have got deep pockets. good luck.

Thanks for info! It is more of an intellectual question as of now. I learnt few things from your quest of low futures comms. Thanks for that as well.

I'm not sure either. Are they broker dealers? Or do you still need to have someone to trade through?

Don

Don,

Didn't you have a paid workshop scheduled for 10/03? Could you please answer 3 direct questions - 1) how many paid to attend 2) how many signed up after 3) do you really charge $10 per m juice, if not what do you charge?

I notice you often ask about your competition but are very reluctant to publicly discuss the terms and conditions offered at Bright.

Hi Jack... When you go and come back... Could you report on the VALUE of what you got... after you give it some good clear thought about the value paid for... ?

In The Past (last 12 years) almost to a student (serious traders) the VALUE reported from Bright Training was LESS than if they had read good Trading Books...

Bright Trading is FINE... Bright Training is a JOKE...

thanks... edge...

I appreciate your input. I'm just checking things out. I've had an interest in 'trading for a living' for a long time and have just never been able to 'get into it'. I'm 50, have a day job, other income also, but am limited by my account size also. I know there are a lot of variables here. I have the books, good ones, am interested in ta, charts, don't have the programming skill sets, though I am somewhat tech savvy, i think? capabilities, have a love hate of the market, love it, except when I lose, that can suck, getting on the wrong side of a trade. I'm also in a potential opportunity I think to take that step if I'm ever going to. Just trying to find my way here.

Do you trade on your own or are you with a prop shop, other?

Hey Fellas,

Just to clear up everything, Takion is the new platform I am using over at T3. Switched because of lower cost vs Lightspeed. Not sure what everyone is using nowadays. The Chronos/Iris pairs system runs through Takion and that is where all of my pairs business is right now. Love this system. if you trade pairs, just google the name and you will get the info. Again, I would rather be trading prop exclusively, but market isn't allowing to right now so I am taking steady income of pairs. Hopefully things change. Good luck all
