Which Presidential candidate is better for the economy if elected?

Who is better for the economy?

  • Herman Cain

    Votes: 15 30.6%
  • Mitt Romney

    Votes: 8 16.3%
  • Rick Perry

    Votes: 10 20.4%
  • Barrack Obama

    Votes: 16 32.7%

  • Total voters
    49
Now I see 7 people who believe that Barrack Obama would be better for the economy. Why would you say that? Lets say we passed the jobs bill today without question or delay. Do you think by passing that bill we would avoid another recession?

I think there is a lot that Obama could have done to make the economy stronger. In the last three years Obama has concentrated on everything from bullying in schools to healthcare, but he has not addressed the heart of the economy. In fact, it seems like the business world is scared of him. In looking at his so called "signature policies", none of them seem to contribute anything to the greater economy. Like how does healthcare really contribute to jobs and the economy.

There is only ONE WAY out of this mess and it is to get into bed with big business. It is to hold meetings with the CEOs of the top 100 companies and grant their every wish. It is to get together with the governors of each state and help them get into bed with big business. However, getting into bed with big business who are not large campaign donors is not within the Democrats vocabulary.

Im not certain about a lot of things about Herman Cain, but I do know he sounds very confident and has the communication skills of a leader. He did manage an enterprise which had tens of thousands of workers over 39 states with 600 locations. He does have real world experience managing a medium sized enterprise. Hey thats better then Obama who has absolutely no experience managing anything or anyone on his economic team. His economic team is all theory and has never practiced what they preached.

Romney is a wildly successful venture capitalist. How can you go wrong with someone like that? Don't you want a self made millionaire and successful business man at the helm?

Quote from Grandluxe:

Herman Cain turned two businesses around, from least to most profitable. He is the man to fix the economy and is definitely gaining more traction now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cain was assigned in the 1980s first to analyze and ultimately to take the reigns of Burger King, which at the time was a Pillsbury subsidiary, where he managed 400 stores in the Philadelphia area.

Under Cain's leadership, his region went in three years from the least profitable for Burger King to the most profitable.

This prompted Pillsbury to appoint him President and CEO of another subsidiary, Godfather's Pizza. Aiming to cut costs, Cain over a 14-month period reduced the company from 911 stores down to 420.

As a result of his efforts, Godfather's Pizza finally became profitable.

Before his business career he worked as a mathematician in ballistics as a civilian employee of the United States Navy

The Pizza background is great, but I think fried chicken would have been even stronger! If Hollywood can write him into a starring role in an action film that can be released during the 2011 Christmas season he'll be unbeatable. :D

presidents have no influence on the economic cycle. the trick is to get elected after a crash where the base line is low introduce a plan and take all the credit.

Quote from Humpy:

That is the achilles heel of democracy it seems where every idiot's vote counts the same as a carefully considered one.

That is the strength of democracy, not a weakness.

If "considered" votes had counted for more, the US would be a eugenic paradise in close partnership with Fascist Germany.

Democracy has an achilles heel, but that isn't it.

Whatever his other qualifications, he's certainly an outspoken bigot.
