Which of these data science certifications is most respected?

I completed the Coursera Data Science Specialization offered by Johns Hopkins University in 2014. I was not interested in a career as a data scientist at the time, but rather wanted to familiarize myself with R and my actuarial background helped with the statistical portions of the course.

I'd be lying if I said the end goal was quantitative finance, though I did get sidetracked on more than one occasion. My main goal was to analyze in-play betting on Australian and UK horse races.

I presume your interest lies in finance rather than sports betting, and hopefully someone else can be more helpful than I've been. I would also post the same question on the quantitative finance forums.

certifications, coding academies, and useless degrees are cash cows for the providers. And might be a negative as viewed from an employer. Want to learn "data science" get a degree in math, statistics, operations research. Those training classes will teach you how to ignorantly use a pre-canned model and maybe (doubtful) interpret results

I was kinda thinking this...

Perhaps the best testimony to skill as a data scientist is a history of profitability in the markets, based on data collection and analysis.
 
Another way of figuring out what makes most sense is to get the names of a dozen well known data scientists and find out what education they have. I'd even reach out to several and ask them what makes more sense. Heck, you might end up with a job in the process, if that's what you're looking for.
