Which Futures & Forex Brokers are recommended for more than $100K?

If you don't know what to suggest, just keep quiet and nobody would know you don't know.

What Surdo offered was a legitmate suggestion.

Seriously!!! I have trouble taking anyone seriously that comes on here with 300K asking for advice from a board made up mainly of nontrading idiots and kids still in school.

Ok, I get your point.

Let's say you have about $300K to trade forex & index futures.

How would you allocate your funds? into 3 or more brokers
or all into one? What are the things you would consider when deciding?

Besides IB, which retail brokers do you recommend? Is InterbankFX better than IB for forex spot?

Never Mind, I just thought that 'elite' traders come here.

$300K is not a lot. Most of the senior traders I know trade with at least 1 million which is probably only worth about $100K in the 80s and they haven't even heard of Interactive Brokers, TradeStation, etc. or even VIX!

All of us are still with MF Global and you all know what happened to Refco. I am moving my funds out of there. Believe many of you received a notice from IB but I do not plan to transfer everything into IB.

Like I thought you are a bullshitter.

I would recommend Global Futures. They have futures, futures options and forex. They have every platform necessary to execute your trades. Their customer service is unmatched. Their clearing house (FCM) is Rosenthal Collins--tons of reserves, excellent customer service, fast and accurate account info and statements. Their commissions are the lowest, and they are negotiable, especially for large accounts. You can even use T-bills as collateral for your trades, if I am not mistaken. Check out the website, call a broker, and ask questions. I am a former IB user and have switched to Global.

Lol at this thread...

Virtual, you'll be best off with IB. You could use InterbankFX, but it's a fixed-spread no commission market, and they love to play dealing games. If you follow their feed long enough you can figure out how to beat them, but it's not really worth it in the end.

Oanda is also good.

HotSpot FXI would also work well.

I'd rank the above as:

1. IB/Oanda depending on if you want fixed spread or variable spread
2. HotSpot
3. InterbankFX
