Which EUR government bond to buy?

I know nothing about fixed income investing.

If I want to invest in EUR government bonds, which are the most liquid 2-year or 10-year bonds?

What are the tickers on Interactive Brokers?

(I live in a country where fixed income is taxed at 42.8% but you can only deduct 20% in case of a loss, so I need to invest in EUR to diminish FX fluctuation, otherwise I would have invested in USD government bonds.)

I see there are plethora of selections for treasury bonds maturing every month, but for Gilts, the IB scanner only shows me 1 single bond maturing between 01/2023-02/2023. That seems extremely scant, why is it?

Retail doesn’t buy bonds in the U.K. There is probably a U.K. bond etf and Gilt futures if you are wealthy enough to pay the ice exchange fee.

There are myriad ETFs like XSTR, ERNS, IGLS, IBTG (USD quanto), but they all have 25% margins, which makes them infeasible for cash management use. Not sure how to manage GBP cash at IBKR, getting benchmark - 50bps for now

I got out of the pound when Gordon brown was prime minister and it hit 2 to usd.
