which broker

I have an account with IB. In order to diversify I would like to open another a/c with different broker. I tried Tradestation but they want me to download forms ,print, fill up forms and post it to them. This is too much . I want a broker where I can fill up the forms online and send ID documents by email.
I trade stocks, ETF and options,
Please recommend a good broker where I can process the application totally on line.

You have a very unusual deal breaker. You might want to re-evaluate your priorities. Otherwise, you will end up jumping from broker to broker which is a bigger waste of time.

I had to jump thru hoops to get my platform, margin, commission and risk limits. But that's FOPs.

You can be a little more demanding with stocks and stock options. But, the right setup is key.

I think the biggest advantage of having a 2nd account with a different broker is so you can continue to trade and have access to funds if one account is frozen due to a number of reasons.

:)

Good point.

If I may argue semantics to support my previous post: Not the biggest advantage, but the biggest in importance.

i am speechless.

I agree with the OP. Faxing and mailing stuff is 1990's, there is no reason why an online form and email can't be used to open a trading account - especially a cash account.
