Hi guys,
Do you know which broker can fill ETF option order in pre-market session?
Do you know which broker can fill ETF option order in pre-market session?
SPY options, along with some other ETF's/Index options will continue to trade until 415pm etyesterday TD Ameritrade gave me a filled order in after-market session - 16:03pm.
The first strange thing is I did not post any order at the time. Yesterday SPY was closed as $411.88 at 16:00pm. And my short call position's strike was at $414, so I totally have no any need to close an OTM position. But this morning, when i opened the computer, I found I have a filled closed order, closed that short call at $0.01 at 16:03pm. That was done not by myself but in my account. I am currently contact with TDAmeritrade asking why this thing happened.
That time is after-trading session. Who can tell me why the order can be filled?
SPX options trade almost 24 hours a day. Most retail brokers don't offer access to this overnight session, with the exception of Interactive Brokers. Then do you mean, if I trade SPX option, then I can post pre-market order and this order can be filled before 930 am?
Virtu was making an almost 24-hour market (24/5) in the spy. They offered a limited amount of options activity and I'm not 100% certain they still offer the option. TD had access.
