Those that hang out on forums where they trash talk the 90% clearly have some emotional issues - it really says a lot about that person since they are projecting their own internal negative feelings about themselves.

Agree 100%. There's a certain ET member who seems to inject himself into and subsequently derail threads with his extreme rage and negativity, with never any intelligent or helpful trading advice. Maybe there have been personal issues in that member's childhood. Or maybe its a bad marriage or something. But I gotta say, after being a good ET member for the past 13 years and having seen all types of contributors, it turns my stomach every time this particular person rears his head.

Luck: The most successful people, that have some humility, will tell you that luck played a role in their success. James Simons is probably the most cerebral of the trading icons, in his interviews he really harps on his good luck.

Because a high IQ is something you are LUCKY to be born with - ‘a gift’ - and one should be grateful and not let pride make them think they are above anyone. Like the OP and that other smart ass seem to think. You know who you are.

I used to have fun reading and trying out some of the articles' code listings on "Stocks and Commodities" like it was an old 8/16bit hobby computer mag. Don't know how high "iq trading" is that. But maybe better than average or those who blindly followed "wizetrade".

Well, then those observed individuals were perhaps not all that bright after all. If someone does not grasp their own job description I doubt they reach an iq of 115

My neighbor made $5 or $6 million in ten years. He didn't break any sweat.

He bought a house around my area in New York City for cheap less than a million dollar ten years ago. Now that house worth probably $6 to $7 million, because a lot of wealth people from France, celebrities and techies are moving in bidden up the area. His house goes up in value exponentially. He could choose to sell his house now and retire very comfortably, but he chooses to work. He is still in his forties'.

I don't think you two are in all that much disagreement. I find discussing your own IQ to be in poor taste. But alas, IQ is some kind of standard, as much as I hate it.

Most of the community is bunch of geezers nadhigh school dropouts who did not quite catch the right exit in life. Not sure what is untrue about that. If you want to believe that most individuals on the other side of your posts are highly intelligent individuals who run a profitable business then all power to you. I doubt it

Bragging about ones IQ is like the kid born with a silver spoon bragging about money.
