Where to find tick or 1M FX data for backtesting?

Not satisfied with data from Metaquotes, looking for alternative sources. Free or paid.

Oanda give you data down to 5 sec intervals back to 1993. It is their prices, but they are close enough for most purposes

Is it paid or free? Access through API or download from MT4?

It is availiable thru the API. I have never used their MP4, so I have no idea if you can get it there

Ok then it is paid one. 400 bucks a month. Pretty expensive I should say but guess it is more for professional needs.

As far as I understand you can download only for one particular day, you can't choose period. Am I right?

The website lets you choose a date range for 1-minute or larger candles.

What are you talking about? The api is free and you can download data back to the 90s with just a practice account. You do not even need to deposit money to use it. How is that 400 a month?
