Can't you get a sense of that just from looking at the price chart... big swings, day-to-day? (Even at that, likely has nothing to do with the float.)
Here's the Big Picture...
1. Authorized Issue... number of shares authorized by corporate charter
2. Issued Shares... number of shares out in the public including insiders and restricted
3. Float... Issued shares minus shares held by insiders (which usually do not trade) plus restricted shares.
4. Handle... daily number of shares traded on recent average
Only the Handel is even remotely possible to affect your trades.. and that's only if you make a very large trade in a thinly traded issue.
IOW... "FLOAT"? Fuggetaboutit! 99.99999999% against the float ever having an impact in any trade you make.
