Where is the recession? Show me ?

What fools think the economy is booming based on one economic number???

There are families living in tent cities in public parks, a mortgage meltdown, credit crunch, sub-prime crisis and subsequent hangover from that which isn't over just yet and gas is almost $4.00 a gallon.

Where's the disposable income for the average American? Where's the revenue and spending going to come from? It won't be coming from anywhere. Not just yet.

Look here! This is lot better than living in SUDAN and SRI LANKA and for the Nike wearing/ IPOD listening/Starbucks/ Flatscreen TV crowd the only word they should utter from their mouths should be : AMEN.

That has nothing to do with anything!

Ever think that the Fed NEVER calls the recession, or the data never shows that we are in recession until WAYYY later in the recession..

The last reported recession 'began' March 2001 and lasted until November 2001
When they called the recession, the S&P was already down 25% off it's highs...The smart money was already well aware and selling long before the 'beginning' of the recession, while the 'smart guys' were saying "show me 2 consecutive quarters of declining GDP"...
When would you rather have started selling??

So what is this recession? Some kind of huge Monster that will eat you alive and leave you to be picked up by vultures on a desert highway? Whats the worse it can do? I mean if you start addressing your fears they are not realistic. Economy slows down Feds inject cash and liquidity things go back to business as usual. Its not that you will drifting on a life raft among sea waves all alone in the Pacific ocean.

Come on get up and face the world you coward! Life is about living and facing up to adversities and hardships you Nike wearing / IPOD listening/ Starbucks gulping piece of crap.

I donot accept a recession until I have proof with empirical data and facts.

After 200 posts and countless personal attacks there is not single post that could rebutt my original premise and prove that we are in a recession. None! Nada! Zilch!

Is that how weak your argument was ? You are like a potted Palm anyone can piss in the vase.

I face the world everyday...it's you who's the coward..the same numbnuts who was buying pets.com and infoseek in 2000, while guys like me were saying "man, I think we're slowing down big time, best short this market."...

Being long, being short, well, they mean nothing to me..
but it does to you, because YOU cannot go short..you can only buy...it's a common bias among newbies...they think it's UnAmerican to go short...
