The Earth has been warming over the last 15,000 years. Roughly 10,000 years ago New York was under glaciers. The glaciers started melting well before any sort of industrialization. Claiming that the Earth warmed over the last 150 years proves nothing.

The Earth's climate has always changed and always will change. Pick whatever you want the climate to do and you have 50% chance of getting it right.
 
while there are questions about the methodology of the data smoothing and the warming may in part be caused by the creep to the suburbs of many cities... the thermometers do seem to say there has been a small amount of warming the last 150 years.

However, the scientific inquiry would more germanely be, Are we seeing warming outside natural variability?

I would also note that the melding of the sparse proxies we have with the instrument record is a non trivial process and subject to quite a bit of error.

Consequently, what I would call anecdotal records such as farming by vikings in now ice covered areas and vineyards in London should be given a great deal of weight in assessing the type of warming we are experiencing.

before one is fooled by the parrots distorted chart which he was told by magna not to post anymore...

I would look at this chart below which is from a published peer reviewed paper which shows co2 trails temperature up and down...

No major scientist I have read has ever denied that co2 trails temperature up and down.

Note... I am posting this chart because I do not remember posting this exact one from this source. I just picked it off a google images search.
If I did post it before I apologize... and a moderator is welcome to remove it.

I have linked to dozens of peer reviewed papers showing the sun and the tides have a big influence. That chart above comes from a peer reviewed paper which shows... co2 matches but lags change in ocean temps by about 12 months... and follows air temps by 9 months.

you have not presented 1 peer reviewed paper showing man made co2 causes warming in our current environment.

So jerm, ONE climate scientist? You can't even come up with ONE that denies AGW is real? Whereas the entire world's science community agrees? And you want us to take you seriously? lol
