Where does everyone live/trade and how old.

Thats cool man, you've been to (and traded from) many places already and are only 27. Sounds like a route that I'd like to take at some point.

What's the network access like in the Carribean? I thought about doing that, except if I trade from developing countries, ... my fear is that I'll get crappy fills because of latency and connectivity issues.

For futures spreads trading I only need EOD and execute most of my trades using MOC order.

As far as daytrading: I only know of one trader who lives in the DR, who daytrades once in a while, and who says that the broadband internet is very reliable and that he personally have not had any problems with the reliability in the past 1.5 years.

For the time being I am moving to the DR, but I also checked about the Bahamas, and from what I understand both places have an underground optic cable to Florida, so I guess this may imply that the internet should be just as reliable as it is in the U.S.

But in any case contact me sometime in Feb. of 06 and I will be able to tell you for sure.

I plan to primarily focus on spreads and only daytrade about 1-3 days/week... Plus I will definetly have somekind of a backup for my main inet connection, something like DSL if they have it...

Perhaps, a new thread would be more appropriate, however, since this one got sufficient interest I will pose the question here.

For those of you who travel often, more specifically oversees and who still trade/daytrade the U.S. equities markets:

1) In what countries have you had the experience to trade from (U.S. markets)?

2) What kind of internet connection were you able to obtain in those countries?

3) Have you had any particular issues with the speed and the reliability of the connection?

Thanks!
