where can i learn PRICE ACTION trading ?

No, because the vast majority of seemingly sound trading ideas simply suck when you backtest them.
Tradex,

This was probably the best strategy I can find during my automation days.

I can tell you this, trying to back test with fixed profit and fixed stop loss is bullshit.

Compared to what, trading without stop and target?

By the way, trend-following systems perform better with dynamic targets, not fixed exits. Cutting profits short won't work with most trend-following strategies, it will only decrease their profitability.

The whole idea of following the trend is to capture the occasional large moves until the end.

Compared to choosing stop loss (risk) dynamically with real time market conditions and volatility. The same for profit target. I keep my stop loss and profit target varying to market conditions. Not fixed. I keep risk equal reward, but I also monitor MFE and MAE per trade so i see how much money I leave on the table per trade

Functions of what? Volatility, momentum, turning point events (like Fedspeak)?

There are many ways to exit winning positions initiated with a trend-following strategy: trailing stop based on previous swing high or low, close below/above a moving average, 3-bar low/high, breakout of a trendline, parabolic SAR, etc...
