Where can I find a free trading simulator?

I tried Ninja demo once. The price went up, up, up...then it went up some more, and kept going up. Then it went up, up, and up, and up some more. Then it kept going up, and up, and I thought, "This is a joke, not like real market at all." And it isn't.

You were likely connected to our Simulated Data Feed connection which is a random generated feed that has a user set directional control. Its intended for learning the platform and force testing automated strategies.

NinjaTrader can be connected to a real time market feed that drives our simulation engine or, you can connect to our Market Replay engine which replays recording market data.

NinjaTrader is free with the exception of placing live trades. If you wish to use it real time, then you need a data feed of which you can pay for one such as our own Kinetick (www.kinetick.com) feed, request a trial from one of our brokerage partners or connect to an existing supporting brokerage technology.
 
I like http://www.chartgame.com/ . Free, No sign up , No hassle, No download, No Nothing.
The way I play it is simple , Goal is to Flip 10 K to 100 K, don't care what buy and hold does. I never "Skip to next Chart", instead I wait till the entire chart is over and then move on to the next randomized chart. Once I hit goal, then "Start New Game", rinse, repeat. If I don't hit goal then I will never "Start New Game", instead climb out of the hole till I hit target.
Great game to help build trading "muscles", even if you don't trade stocks (which I don't)
