Where are you guys downloading your music from?

I know, kinda lame to download music for freee, but i have been for 10 years and figured, "since everybody is doing it now". SO what is the best site to download for free with biggest library and least chance of virus? Thanks
 
Here's my problem. I bought a cheap ipod to clip on my shirt while I work out. Well, everytime I try to put music on it, I get "please download from itunes." Help!!

I'm thinking about getting just some durable mp3 player that let's me download like it's a flashdrive/removable device. The ipod shuffle is driving me nuts!

my god, that I share the planet with these people is a source of consternation. or is it constipation?
