Where Are They NOW?

and i can go on and on......sorry to remind you all of your trading mortality.

Some people tend to OUTGROW the boards, while others don't... I am hardly ever here anymore while I was once an avid follower of this message board. I have gotten to a point where what anyone here says or does will not affect my trading in any shape or form. That, I suppose would also be the same story with some of the people above.

If you manage to not blow up (like me) then you'll just keep on coming back for occasional kicks - especially if you are a struggling breakeven trader (like me). I guess once that breakeven translates into consistent profit, ET is not needed so much anymore. But I sure like to read other people's experiences.

......sorry to remind you all of your trading mortality.

Still here. We need not speak to remind ourselves that we're still alive. All we need to do, is keep doing what we do to stay alive, until our number is called.

Best regards to all of my ET friends. ;-)

darkhorse

I may start posting some more now that I see you are back.

The site needs more like you in my opinion.

An old friend.

NUTSNEAL

I occasionally check in and read something but not very often.

Didn't realize you were back!

Good to see it!!!

You forgot to add: In these market conditions
Back in 1999/2000, volatility permitted excellent intraday profits....many dumb traders made it on luck.

Likewise, when the Yen Carry-trade event occurred several weeks ago, traders here were posting daily profits they hadn't see in YEARS.

Yeah, there is still opportunity, but you've got to acknowledge the risk-reward ratio has gotten less favorable as the VIX has dropped. With this, your strategies must change as well. If not, you're a "gonner". I suspect many of the "drop-outs" could not or WOULD NOT adapt.

True;
some exceptions, Monroe Trout [Trout Trading]retired @ 40. His stimated net worth @ time $900 , 000,000.

Probably 1999 was more than luck;
dont confuse brains with a big bull market.
