Where are the TRUE Prop Trading firms?

what a naive and ignorant statement. If you think you can take a 100k and translate the strategy to a 10 million dollar account, you don't deserve any job by any firm. Go risk your own capital and learn how to trade. If you survive, maybe someone will give you a job.

what a dumb conclusion. I'm not looking for a job at a firm. Go ahead and learn to trade first before telling something you have no idea about

I wouldn't necessarily jump to that conclusion, some strategies are scalable, depends on the liquidity of the product(s) you trade.

A $10million account is nothing for most futures/forex strategies, though for some equity systems you may struggle. Depends on your timeframe as well.

a 100k trading account is not equal to a $10 "portfolio" of a customer and the risk management strategies involve a completely different approach. the dude said "when you make 10k on a 100k account. you make 1 million on a 10 million account" or something along those lines.

any of the firms requiring deposits have access to providing the same capital to hired traders (at the firms risk). Prop firms don't generally distinguish portfolios. they have have a few different strategies implemented in the market, however, the accounts are proprietary and not treated as customer portfolios
 
Can anyone please tell me about such prop firms in Chicago. I have recently moved to Chicago from India and am looking to be part of a prop trading firm. To start with I dont mind working for a salary and then move on to profit spilt. I have 4 years of trading experience in indian equities and commodities.

Could anyone recommend a US based SRO registered prop firm that caters to remote european traders i.e. similar to Bright and ECHO ( i.e. K-1, S7 and all that) ?
