When will the UK join the EURO? What do you think?

What effects would this have on the EUR/USD rate?

The UK will never join the Euro.

The current Prime Minister wants us to, the Chancellor doesn't.

The opposition Conservatives are virtually to a man/women vehmently opposed to the UK joining.

We have been promised a referendum on the issue before the next election. It now looks like the Goverment has abandoned this pledge as it nows that 80%+ of the population would vote not to enter.

I do not think the UK will join the Euro, it is far more likely that the UK will leave the EU IMHO.

If you want to double unemployment and halve growth of the economy then you join the euro.
