well... that was just one article.... i found alot. I don't understand why you guys are so in love with this stock. They have not posted earnings, we don't even know if they are making money, they are totally anonymous, who the hell are they, and I can't find any major player that says it is a good buy. I love to find piece of crap companies that have no real business to short...

No at $2000 or more I did not short it. Only time will tell what happens. But the discussion with you guys is fun.

I guess I am the only person this board that thinks the stock is just a bunch of hype. This Crypto Currency is just a fad, it will not be accepted by any majority of people (that's my opinion). This is like when those personal stand up scooters came out and the main company said it would revolutionize the way we get around. Or I liken it to the status of driverless cars right now. Unless the product or service is WIDELY adopted, it will fail.

My actual position on the stock is not the discussion. I am not gonna get into an argument and just waste time on this. Not one person has stepped up to tell me why this is a great stock? Why it should trade at such a high rate? What are their earnings? Who the hell runs the company? Hello? just some basics please.

And, OMG you think that no government backing it is a good thing? what happens when something goes wrong? You sure are gonna have FDIC insurance to protect your money

and very important... the exchange this piece of crap is traded on...an off-name exchange Bitcoin Investment Trust(NASDAQOTH:GBTC), an ETF operated by Grayscale Investments that owns 173,594 bitcoins.....Hello, you gonna trade your hard earned money on some fly by night exchange???

Back in 2014, Mt. Gox, a Japan-based exchange that was handling about 70% of all bitcoin transactions at the time, filed for bankruptcy. Mt. Gox listed 850,000 bitcoins that had been hacked, worth about $450 million at the time, and said it had also lost the $27 million in cash it purportedly had in its coffers.

HELLO! so you could either lose to hackers or low volume, or whatever. For me,, I'll stick to those crazy exchanges nobody has heard of... like NYSE, CME, ETc...

now now JJ90.... is that really called for....

yo have yet to offer any factual data to argue your side of the deal. Please explain why anyone should be an investor in this stock... comon, just give me something

For the record, the overnight low on Bitfinex was 2107 (they have probably the thinnest order book), on Bitstamp 2233, so prediction has already been fullfilled....

TA works with crashes too. I think I based the call on the daily MA, but I forgot which broker's chart I was using. Once we have a big crash, and it bounces the price tends to revisit the crash's low or below. On Bitfinex price bounced from the daily MA (2300) perfectly eventually reaching mid-2700ish where the daily MA acted as resistance, and I figured we will revisit that price and possibly below...

Here check it out:

Actually if you check the price around the late May crash, on May 26th price also bounced from the daily MA. So when we have to pick one broker to use its chart for TA, Bitfinex looks like a good candidate...

If you switch to the 6 hours timeframe, you can see the price topping just under the MA unable to break it through, that was the time to short it, about 6-7 candles ago...

Thanks will keep an eye out for next patterns. I've noticed that crypto, while it moves quick, seems to be easier to predict using the same indicators as when trading the stock market. I actually saw the "crash" live as it happened but since I'm unfamiliar w/the volatility of crypto I let it ride, plus I'm vested mostly in alt coins. It's been bouncing back and forth the last two days but I'm confident it will recover.

<> means not equal to.

In ooooooooooother words Bitcoin is NOT a stock.

So start there. Next read up on it before commenting further. Just a suggestion.
