I think he's our best shot too. Two things still worry me...I love that he's going to be tougher with other countries, but will he cause TOO MUCH GLOBAL TENSION and therefore cause a "stupid" type of conflict/war...some conflicts/wars are for better reasons than others...will his stubbornness get in the way? Secondly, if jobs "come back" to America because companies bring back their factories or companies just stop leaving...I'm concerned that consumer prices will rise significantly (inflation). Think about it...we are displacing low cost wages from other countries with Americans that demand higher wages (unions)...companies will pass on the costs to the consumer. Hopefully, the increase in competition will work and prices will stabilize. I know he's not perfect, but he's worth the risk in my opinion...we need some major changes!

WILDCHILD...I came to the conclusion a long time ago that TRUMP supported the DEMS for mostly business purposes...it was more of a lucrative position to be in. He use to be Hilary's friend, doesn't look anything close to that anymore...so this could be the real deal. Yes, he did believe in some of the policies of the "left", but he realized those policies were taking the country down at a rapid rate and therefore he's changed his mind. If he does in fact fool all of his supporters, I will declare him MASTER OF HELL!

NINE ENDER...everything you said about the U.S. having to "pay for their mistakes" is because of professional politicians decisions and policies! We Americans are so tired of politicians screwing things up time after time! We've become so sick of all the "politicians" that we finally decided to elect someone who is more like the common citizen...and looks out for the citizens best interest. If I was elected for president, I'm sure I would make plenty of mistakes too, but at least I would make my decisions based on what the people wanted. Do you really have that much FAITH in PROFESSIONAL POLITICIANS? As far as Trump "abusing" the financial system ..he has taken advantage of all available laws for his own benefit...that's what business is...to capitalize within the law. That doesn't mean he's going to be unethical as the leader of our country...this isn't his own private business...he's in front of the whole country to be seen with every move...he won't have to "manipulate" any transactions because his own personal wealth won't be at stake...he's dealing with the country's resources...different ball game. Trump is personally already wealthy...he won't have to look out for himself like a greedy professional politician will want to...one that aspires to have Trump's personal wealth. It's so obvious he's doing this to improve the country...he's already got everything he ever wanted and more...why do this if you don't have to?

It's pretty clear what Trump represents and if elected you'll get what you voted for and deserve all consequences ( good and bad ) of that decision. He's clearly questionable for woman and a major negative for Muslims/immigrant families/exporters/Americans on work visas in other countries. He might be very good for anyone working in manufacturing in the US. He may or may not do something about the top 1% monopolizing your nations new wealth; hard to say, he is part of the 1% and his policy statements are rife with inaccuracies.

I've already said that higher personal taxes and high medical insurance bills are a given regardless of your leader. You can add much higher consumer prices if the "America first" ideas truly harm or destroy trade deals with other nations. Now it could be that more people work in manufacturing domestically, you have to weigh that trade off, that you will be willing to pay far more for goods "made in the USA". With an aging population, I'm not sure how closing down immigration really works well for the US. Sure, you get lower unemployment, but the quality of that employment may suffer. Who really knows at this point.
You might even see large multinationals like AAPL split up into two companies, removing all international operations from the US.

You've obviously thought this through and love his ideas. I can't ignore the xenophobia, lack of respect for woman, tendency to stretch the truth to get attention. Maybe he gets some stuff done, maybe he's a golden opportunity for countries like Canada that are doing well to further diversify their trade opportunities and better protect their own economy. It might all work out. If he strikes down the corruption and special interest groups embedded in US politics and Wall Street, I could see that being good, especially if some of his other ideas get blocked or it's truly just bombast and he has no intention of following through on them. If he helps destroy the old school Republican party, that's a good thing too.

I don't think he'll be elected but it might be fun to see the fireworks if he is elected. Just remember, if you are successful, you are getting what you see, including the red flags.

I've seen this sometimes rationalized as intentional "negotiation anchoring", but the growing list of binary flip-flops seems more like he's trying to cultivate any kind of flexibility he needs, and aggressively setting expectations that he shouldn't be held to what he says.

Regardless, anyone expecting him to deliver on specific campaign positions can plainly observe that he doesn't give a second thought to defaulting on his obligations, verbal, economic, marital, etc. and will quite possibly even rub it in when he does.

NINE ENDER...I look at our country as slowly bleeding to death...just like a day trader that has good stop loss discipline, but has no edge whatsoever. Does TRUMP have an edge and can he stop the bleeding or does he end up cutting the artery more severely and causing more chaos? It's so hard to just stand here and watch the continuation of the "slow bleeding' and not do anything about it. I know what were getting if the professional politicians stay in power...the same old formulas that over and over promote the "erosion" of a country. Yes, TRUMP comes with much risk. As far as the other stuff...bigotry....disrespect...condescending remarks, much complexity is involved when making decisions about large groups of people and sparing their FEELINGS...while implementing effective strategies at the same time...if he reaches the oval office, I'm pretty sure he'll tone things down. I'm truly shocked at the unpopularity of any entity/person with a "me first attitude"...an attitude of trying to be superior, better, strict toward others, winning attitude, and so forth. I just can't believe that someone's gain is ALWAYS a loss for someone else! Why is trying to be better than the people you're around considered so disrespectful? I figure, if someone puts down a large group of people, that particular group should limit the offence they feel, but if someone offends them to their face...do what they must. If Drumpf is ok with paying higher taxes then why doesn't he simply fire most of his accounting staff and start making full, unsheltered tax reports and payments to the IRS? Because he's a hypocrite.

Canada just raised taxes for anyone making over $200K 2%, and reduced everyone else 2%. This is an example of a seemingly small change that makes sense. Our previous government was pro-business, far right wing in nature and took things a little too far.
