When to STOP trading

Quote from 1flyfisher:

there are a lot of persons with addiction problems along the lines of gambling that are attracted to trading and become traders

ive never been a gambler.. calculated risk is another thing

The hormone flow is the same as gambling. hence, the addiction to the high. That is why I refer to sex as a getaway from staring at the damned monitor all day. Flows the hormones so you are less stimulated by a machine.

Fucking.

Technically what you do is "masturbating to gay porn".

Not that there is anything wrong with that. For you at least.

i just made a general comment and did not imply anything towards you personally.

but since you commented on my post and you did made the initial question regarding why you can't step away from trading and you have to trade every day....
addiction on some level may be something you should evaluate.

well after some thinking on the topic i think i may have figured it out.. my own problem with over trading.

trading is a game based on pattern recognition. now i don't use a programmed system to trade so i am my own programmed system. the patterns that my brain is able to recognize tells me what trades to put on. so basically if i look at the chart and am unable to make sense of the direction of the market I MUST STOP TRADING. the market is random and different ever day, therefore there will constantly be a number of 'patterns' on a regular basis that are foreign to me. at these times i am unable to get a grasp of the markets direction and it seems confusing to me.

this happened to day and after going through my journal and the time periods i was actually able to exact the time when the market confused me. yet i kept trading anyways and that is when it went down hill.

the point at which the chart confused me and i had no sense of direction in the market i should have completely stopped and called it a day.. perhaps came back in the noon to see if i could get a sense of direction then. but i didnt and thats why i am here writing this. (as well as being addicted to ET)

tomorrow, she is another day

BTW OMG ON THAT VIDEO ABOVE!

i love the voice over they use for him, haha

I need a tranquil mind to trade when I am under stress I don't trade(trading itself is not stressful for me just other life factors). I just go read a book to get back into "the zone"

True, the dog will love you rich or poor, unlike domestic women, but the damned dog will cost you more money by distracting you than in what it eats. There's another topic... domestic women vs. dogs, which are better friends? I did not say lovers, ET perverts! Surdo... FortuneTeller... step awaaaaaaaaaay from the KY jelly.

Baaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.....Baaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh LMAO!
