It's kind of ironic that all "pro-european" posts in this thread completely confirm the thread's premise that no matter what happens in the world the Europeans blame the USA. The dollar value goes up or down - they blame the US, the markets go up or down, they blame the US, the temperature goes up or down, they blame the US, their governments decide to participate in a war, they blame the US, terrorists blow up their trains and buses they blame the US...
I don't think it's jealousy per se, after a thousand years of being the most important and powerful continent on the planet the Europeans are simply having a very hard time accepting that they are now completely irrelevant. I mean really, on every single international issue the entire world always desperately wants to know what the US is planning to do. No one in the world gives a shit as to what the Spanish PM or the king of Norway or Brussels bureaucrats are going to do. If this is not the definition of irrelevancy, I don't know what is.
Personally I am waiting for Russia to re-occupy a couple of its former republics that are currently members of the EU. I wonder who's going to defend them. France and the UK I suppose. After all they did such a wonderful job defending Poland against Germany in 1939 under similar circumstances...

I am certainly aware that Europe is not a country, in fact I mentioned three European countries (Spain, Norway and Belgium) in my previous post. My point still stands though, all European countries and Europe as a continent have driven themselves into total irrelevancy. Do you really think, really, that from a collection of countries who have delivered more injustices, exported more brutality and committed mass genocide on an unfathomable scale, in only the last 150 years, that they will just one day soon roll over and become a Caliphate?
