But not when you quoted it?You are correct -- but it appears that it was edited after I originally read it.

That part was not edited.True.. .it was two minutes or so between when I first read it and then responded.
(CITATION NEEDED).
So you are just pointing out a couple cities had higher violent crime which did not defund the police. You provided no evidence whatsover that their higher crime rate approached the much higher levels of cities that did defund the police. So basically you have not citation to back up your claims that defunding the police makes no difference in crime. Provide a citation -- otherwise you are just pushing crap.
And don't confuse all the cities that were forced to increase police budgets in 2021 as they became complete criminal cesspools due to their previous defunding in 2020 -- as examples of "increased funding". These cities are just trying to fix the consequences of their progressive city councils which got mugged by reality.
Post a city by city analysis which is what's needed to prove this.
Actually you are the one claiming that defunding the police doesn’t lead to greatly increased crime — which is the entire premise of this thread. It’s on you to post a city by city analysis if you are claiming this entire thread is incorrect.
To rational people defunding the police leads to greatly increased crime — we have city after city as sad examples of this.
