When is Trump going to take credit for the stock market plunge?

Do you even trade? As a percentage of the Dow, it's not even in the top 20 biggest declines.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...Industrial_Average#Largest_percentage_changes

Are you trying to fake news us into believe this was the worst drop in history? The Dow dropped 38 points in the crash of 1929. It dropped 508 points in the crash of 87. You see...as the stock market goes up, you see larger numbers both up and down. The Dow would need to crash 3,000 points to be equal to the crash of 87 and more than 5,000 points to equal the crash of 29.

Lots of strawman there champ, I actually lectured your fellow Con Max.E on percentages a few days back, ask him.

The reason I mentioned points is because your side AND Trump were taking credit for absolute levels, not relative levels. And the reason they were doing it is because if we used relative levels then both Obama and Bush beat Donnie's 'performance'.

You can't have it both ways.

The ES dropped to 2530, effectively testing the SPX 200ma. Can't get bearish until the market can close below and hold that.

IOW... the last 2 days have been merely "trading noise."

It's still a "BTFD market" until proven otherwise.
Agree in toto.

Very well, then lets look at points. The stock market went up 8,707 points in 8 years during Obamas presidency(from election day to election day), or about 1,100 points per year average.

Under Trump the stock market has gone up 6,710 points since being elected which makes his yearly average 5,368 points.

So Obama 1,100 points per year, Trump 5,368 points per year

No idea where you're getting your info that Bush and Obama beat Trumps performance. Probably some fake news site I'm guessing.

There is no very well and you are guessing wrong as usual, 'points movement' is not performance - it's simply points. There are two different measures. You guys made the mistake of using 'points' to make your case so you have to die on that hill.

It depends on what you want to compare, Mr. exGOPer. You cherry picked six months of the S&P 500 but why six months and why the S&P 500 index that goes back to 1957? Let's go back farther with the Dow and on a percentage basis:
The Dow's 31% gain during Trump's first year is the best since FDR
