I have always been curios about what kind of meat do you eat in the US?Because here in Argentina a steak/beef is common to eat almost everyday,but when i went to the US the meat on the supermarkets was very expensive(in comparison to Argentina).
Red meat is highly regulated in the States. I dunno how it goes in Argentina, but they sell, for retail, only the higher grades of beef in the US, as graded by the USDA. The three highest grades are prime, choice and select. In fact, it is tough to find select in stores these days.The grades lower than that are cheeper and usually sent off for more utilitarian needs, such as pet food and fillers.
I do agree though, based on the live cattle futures prices I see, and have watched for the last 5 years, that Americans are getting FLEECED on this beef pricing shit. GOUGING I tell you. Just like these arseholes at the gas stations.
