Democracy in Iraq (immediately after Saddam) might be dangerous Mondo. If you look at the way our public's feelings are molded by the media (and we're suppossedly the educated ones), just think of how a population of people with a third grade education will react to propaganda.

Everyone, including the French, agrees that getting rid of Saddam is a noble goal, but you have to see that without a plan that incorporates large amounts of education and financial assistance, we'll be back in the same situation in 20 years. The current administration doesn't have the patience or ability to rebuild the Middle East. We will need broad international help in the long run. And I don't mean from Angola, Bulgaria, Albania, and the lesser Antilles.:D

That is the whole problem with the liberal elite, and it will be their downfall. They are clinging to dead ideologies that are the total opposite of what the U.S. stands for, and the american people are figuring it out.

You're missing the point completely Mondo.

Some Dictatorships can be better than some Democracies.
Some Communist states can be better than some Democracies.
Some Socialist states can be better than some Democracies.

It's all according to what type of society is implementing the system.

For example: If Saudi Arabia was a democracy they'd be as fanatical or more fanatical than any other country because their education system is so anti-west and madrasa based. We're lucky (economically, at least before 911) that it's run by a royal family.

It's all relative Mondo. And what "dead ideologies" are the liberal left pushing?

You're an interesting guy Mondo... it's like you've formed a dam in your mind that stops logical thought from reaching the processing centers of the brain. Let me walk you through my point...

If we follow your logic that democracy works better than any other political system, then Hitler (democratically elected) was better for the world than any other leader under any other system. Now I'm not saying you're a fascist, I just don't think you understand the benefits of different political systems to different societies.

And another thing... You don't live in a true democracy... The US is a republic. A great example is that, in a true democracy, we would have a different president since the "liberal democratic" candidate won the popular vote.

Sadam Hussein says he was elected by 99.5% of the popular vote in his country !.....LOL
