When are the going to remove INTC and MSFT from the dow and place

APPLE AND GOOGLE IN?????????????


Think about the unlimited upside there would be for the dow, were talking on average at least a 1/2-1% a day for the next few years, the dow could easily get up to 50,000 just with google and apple.

They should make these changes immediately, out with the old in with the new.

Apple and Google have to stop going up and/or get crazy overvalued. That's a rock solid requirement before dow jones will add new stocks to the index.

There was some commentary yesterday on CNBC about putting APPL into the DOW. Although I can see the attraction, I am neutral about that.

How does the history of the DOW change... or does it, when there is a change in the composure of the DOW?

The history doesnt change much, they normally put in established companies that don't have mega change in earnings like csco does now not csco in the 90's. The dow wants to represent the economys normal growth rate. IMO a better company to put in the dow would be one of the rails.

Google should be in there. They completely dominate the Internet (and are hoping to dominate a lot more).
The Dow is supposed to be for the dominant companies in their industry.
