Wheels Abbott pulls all the stops to change SNOWVID21 Texas narrative

I think that's the game to clinch Texas unfortunately, democrats like myself who don't really see him as a Trumper will vote him in over Abbott in a heartbeat and polls seem to be backing that up. Even Beto tried to play the centrist and lost to one of the most disliked politicians in America.

We'll see how far right he goes if he decides to throw his hat in. I reserve the right to change my mind on the guy just like Dave did.

I don't like the both sides approach either, Elon Musk has been way more of a Trumper w/o explicitly expressing support for Trump for instance and I dislike him for it as his hedge is financial whereas MM's seems political.

Polls? Ive seen 1 poll.

I dont recall Beto playing centrist and he did come within 3 points in what is still a red state.

To win in Texas as a Democrat he is going to need all Democrat voters. No doubt he will get many like you,but no doubt there are many like me that see him as Trump supporter and wont vote for him.

The poll you referred to shows republicans choose Abbott over MM.

The poll, conducted April 6-13, comprised 37% self-identifying Republicans, 30% Democrats and 33% with no party affiliation. The poll surveyed 1,126 registered voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.92 percentage points.

The majority of McConaughey’s support came from the Democratic respondents, 66% of whom chose McConaughey over the other two possibilities, with 44% of independents doing the same, and 30% of Republican voters saying they would vote for the actor over the governor or an unspecified third party.

66% of democrat support is not enough to win a statewide race in Texas, not even close. He would need nearly all democrat support with much higher independent support than 44%.The fact that he only gets 66% of Dem support suggest that I am far from alone in thinking MM is Trumper and not buying his centrist bull shit.

You're ignoring his crossover support. Republicans historically also get out the vote more. At least in Texas

Texas GOP hasn't even started with thier he's a Hollywood liberal attacks. He won't be trusted by either side. You're blinded by your MM love:cool:

I accept your loss in this argument of continuous pivots

There was no pivot. He's already losing to Abbott with Republicans and Wheels hasn't even starting attacking him yet.

Anybody else defending Trump and his supporters trying to overturn the election you would see right through.
