Sugar went from 5 cents to 50 cents or something back in the 70s. If history repeats itself, we still have lots of room to go.

Just take a look at the volume for March '08 wheat ( 16,060 Electronic ) or May '08 wheat ( 54,188 Electronic ) from yesterday.

150k across the board Wags (July did 50k too). I would guess that's as much as Gold trades each day. Also keep in mind that the fronts were locked up limit for a while which brings volume to a stand still.
