I've seen someone post this on twitter and i found this "personality test" quite interesting and insightful.

So yeah. Which personality type do you think makes the best traders?

Apparently i'm a logician/ INTP-T. And i would say it's quite accurate, even though i never thought about this. What about you?

The best traders ignore ALL TRADING BOOK RULES. All of them. The best traders are loners, with kahunas and a middle-leg that can whack a baseball out the park - who have the heart and soul to take the WARREN BUFFET big swing when the occasion shows up. They live for this. They die for this

Study ALL traders at ET. You do not want to be like any one of them. All small time traders. Nickel and Dimers. Think back to when you first got the idea to be a trader. You had a dream, you saw wealth building, big bucks, nice lifestyle. Those are real things well worthwhile having.

But then you ran into ET and your standards dropped to the basement and you became a low capitalization trader slogging your ass off for a few UBER level bucks.

Revisit your original dream. It was a beautiful dream and it was yours only and belongs to you only. then REVIVE IT and go back into Dodge and claim your inheritance!!!!!

The money is out there, go out and get it or else you will be shining my shoes.

Little kids pattern?? Solomon Cohen said when he was kid , the man never took his ticket , so he gave it to some one @ Eiffel tower + that person gave him money for it[Source = book, Bulls Bears + Millionaires]
I remember when i was a kid , looking @ Real Estate with a Realtor + my banker dad. I saw a green rock , thrown down near the door of the empty house. I was nervous/ but asked the Realtor if i could have that green rock, i recognized it from a pattern in my rock collection. Realtor said yes/ i sold it for couple of buck$ to rock dealer. Big deal + fun for a kid /LOL

This is an excellent thread. It invites dropping down to BASIC-BASIC to get in touch with the native engine.

If I had to narrow it all down to just one most important feature I would have to say

HAVINGNESS LEVEL = (can you have big bucks, are you Man enough to claim big bucks, do you believe you deserve to have big bucks?)

If you can HAVE IT in your heart and soul and mind's eye, the correct tools will materialize for you to sue to get the goods that match your Havingness level. The Physical Universe is such a place, so anal that it has no defense against the persistent Man and in exasperations throws open the floodgates to such a Man

Havingness is the KEY to all CASES.

A 30 million dollar house you see one day walking with your girl on the beach and she remarks what a beautiful house, I would love to have one like that. 99.99% of the time its just wishful thinking, but for that one individual who has the fire inside, HE knows he can have this house, he is sure of it in his mind's eye, in his heart, in his soul. Such a Man gets the goods always in real life.

I agree with your assessment. But you Sir are much more than even that, way much more. I have read your posts and will say this about you in trading. You are a top notch GENERAL like the fella shown below.

I'm a Virtuoso -- I think the bests traders in the world have to be more Virtuosos than Logicians. They overthink things too much linearly, squarely. Trading is part art, part science...and involves a person, personality, of action who can think things on their feet.

Hey I am also ENTP thinking of getting into trading/investing. What do you think is the best way to go about learning and trying trading? I do not have a mathematical/finance background. Should I buy an online course, books, you tube videos, etc.? How did you do it? Thank you!

Study price data; or price data with charts.
THIS is not the best illustration, for sure, but i look for patterns anywhere; Elephant Rips Handler in Half in Thailand -Fox News reports today. Strange how often 50%[a half] pattern repeats. NOT a prediction
