Of those (many) voters who aim for > $1/2m per annum, how many are actually or ever have earned this much. This is a lot of money. If you do earn this much, is it worth the risk and what do you spend it on?

Drugs, prostitutes, and fast cars mostly.

Never thought too much about my income goal. Thought more of in the abstract sense. Doing what I had to do to get what I wanted. If this meant a change in profession to earn more, so be it. If it meant working overtime to accomplish my goals then that is what I did.

In retrospect, income requirements change over time and so does ones wants (needs too somewhat). They only draw back to getting older is you get spoiled and I'm not interested in eating Ramen noodles and tuna to achieve my goals. So I have to be a bit more innovative.

On the horizon it is going to be a tad difficult to get a piece of Manhattan.
