What's your favourite band/artist?

Yesterday, while working outside, I cranked up Mahler's Symphony No. 2, the Resurrection, on the sound system in my quonset (which acts as a fantastic sound chamber), and quite enjoyed it, my first time hearing it. Clear to me, a great deal of recent, original soundtrack music has been inspired by Mahler, I could hear phrases in his symphony that others have begun with and turned into entire scores.

fugazi then mahler youtube is good.
 
Right now it is O.A.R. (Of a Revolution) - Their sax player is amazing good and their songs have a great vibe overall. Gotten a couple of their live albums which are both really good. Haven't seen them in person yet but hopefully this year if they do a big tour.

it was 1978 to 1979 era and this band just changed everything for me.
to experience them at that time was awesome

just to point out that VH was the biggest impact of any artist, as I have way too many favs

I was in my youth when they exploded on to the scene and it was wild

I had no idea, there was a liking of the DC 80's music. I still have the vinyl of Out of Step. I havent had anything to play it on in over 20 years.
