I am still in my day trading "training period" and read Active Trader, Stocks & Commodities and Futures mags. I have to agree that an experienced trader will find few useful trading systems as many articles are reruns of existing, readily available formulas or systems.....but, it is very useful for trainees like myself as it forces you to go through various trading methods in detail.
There is also a lot of overhead information, general in nature that is very informative and brings the bigger picture to bear, and not least, the advertising. I have checked many, many ads and referenced resources and learned a lot. True, 99% are come-ons, but every once in while you stumble onto a true resource. The sifting process is an excellent learning tool for me.
So you can thumb your nose at these mags, but they are very useful if used properly. Anyway, do you know of any better ones. I don't. So, they leave a lot to be desired, but people like myself are a hell of a lot better off with them, then without them.
