Personally I don't see how the gross dollar figure really matters much. If you manage a billion dollars you could make $100million in some months. My own best month in dollar terms is much larger than yours, but its very possible your accomplishment is more noteworthy than mine if the % is better.

Again - missing the point. Prop traders couldn't care less about ROI. They put up cash to buy leverage and pull out money every month - often in excess of thier initial deposit.

Of course, a bunch lose money - quickly.
