Quote from Kassz007:

The deficit they created to improve the staggering infrastructure deficit in this country during a global recession, yes.

You do know that the dollar figure surrounding the F35 purchase is over 30 years, right? You do know that the F35 is widely considered one of the most advanced fighter jets ever, right?

Your problem is that you want to compare the Republicans in the USA to the Conservatives in Canada. They are not comparable, with the exception of being right-of-center economically speaking.

By the way, "etc. etc. etc." to me is synonymous with "I have no other examples but I'm sure there's more because I don't like the Conservaties."

There are plenty of examples: Million dollar fake lakes, critical reports from the Auditor General regarding G8 and G20 spending (which the Conservatives misquoted as if it were complimentary), more prisons, Internet surveillance, giving money out to "faith-based schools", none of gas taxes will go to the deficit but to roads, etc. etc. etc. etc.

All of these are going to be expensive -- doubling the cost of jets adds up too (I think since the cost doubled you should double the number of years, make it 60 years.)

The Canadian Conservative part is anything but fiscally conservative, imho.

Quote from shortie:

would you favor abortions for Hispanic women?
Not if my tax dollars are paying for them.
I favor eliminating the anchor baby thingy.
I favor extremely sever penalties for employers of illegals.
I favor requiring proof of citizenship before being admitted to a hospital emergency room.
I wish your mother had had an abortion.

Say that reminds me, hows your half sister bride doing these days?

Biggie...What country do you live in?

I'm in USA.

bashing on the Maple Leaf, can't let that sit.

Canada is HUGE, lot of talk about the climate here and Canada being the second largest land mass country, we have a range of climates. Vancouver for example, where I live, I have rarely seen snow off of ski mountains. Some of the best beaches and summer hiking/biking/wildnerness experiences on the planet. You can lay on the beach and enjoy the scenery of some of the most fitness and health focused people on the globe (which results in just general 'hotness') then stroll over to one of the many many many legal casinos all over the place.

and yeah we do have a small population. What does that matter?
