This episode confirms what many of us card-carrying independents have feared: conservatives have lost it. The idea men of the Russell Kirk era are dead. What is left are a bunch of whiny complainers with no solutions to this country's pressing problems.

Republicans just seem to have had it completely with the far left like Obama and Pelosi... they seem to want to run them off the edge of the world and I say.... go for it... This Saul Alinsky stuff and William Ayers has stirred up memories of the shit we took from the left in the 60's and 70's and maybe it's just payback time... personally, if Obama is going to tell the kiddies to hit the books and work hard I'm all for it, indoctrination into Communism is not likely to happen in a little pep talk...

I was talking to a Democrat tonight and he can't stand Pelosi or Feinstein and he doesn't care too much for Obama but he likes Boxer, everybody seems to like Boxer.. she doesn't seem to be a money grubber like Feinstein or an elitist like Pelosi.. she seems like a feminist a lot, I guess feminists are such a joke after all these years that nobody gets too up in arms about them... after I saw the way she treated Condoleza Rice in the confirmation hearings I think she is a lunatic though... first time I saw that I was thinking, damn, where's the guys with the tranquilizer gun, she's like a rampaging animal........ I guess she just sounds so stupid when she talks that people let her get by with anything...

Thx for the replies, but a meeting in front of a classroom or university doesn't match the scale of being televised to all schools across the country. I think what he is doing is a unique event...

As some have said on this board, is he weening some to vote for him in the future...

Why wasn't there fair warning?

Why does he need to slam it in fast like the stimulus and the dealing with the auto cos, so people don't have time to disagree?

Maybe it's because he realizes when people have time to rationalize, he loses...

Tried to slam the health care bill before the Congressional recess, too. Before people could study it and have a chance to complain. Hell, even before Congress even READ the damned thing!

Obama is incredibly bold and arrogant (but then, more than one psychiatrist has already described him as a pathological narcissist). I can hardly believe everyone is letting him get away with it...
