taking notes on every trade including rationale for the trade, reasons for exit and lessons learned on both winners and losers

Its just a shame that we don't know where the PnL lies for those traders who influence these boards to go through the different cycles. It could just be that the most profitable traders here are using techniques least discussed. This would mean that the people who talk the most are the least profitable.
There is lots of talk here, but I'm not sure if we can even begin to guess if the system straders... the TA traders... the DOM traders, etc. are actually the most profitable.
Sometimes I actually think its the guys who talk the least.
Stop wasting your time trying to learn from others and start learning from the market, it is the absolute best teacher and it never ever lies.
I agree.. but this also means that nobody should listen to what you say!
And yet, we are all here for a reason. Some want to help, but maybe they aren't qualified. Some want to pretend they are hot shit, when in fact they don't have a clue. Others may actually have this game figured out, but come here just to vent anger. If all of us never listened to anyone, ET wouldn't exist. So we all come here for a reason, and I like to figure out who's who.
