Whats the over/under on any given mad money show, that cramer mentions "his hedge fund" or his hedge fund days?

Also could be a good college drinking game.:eek:

"......Cramer said some tactics are "blatantly illegal," but sometimes essential for poorly performing hedge funds. He did not say he ever used such tactics himself.

Cramer said if a market participant wanted to get shares of a company like RIM lower then he should first get investors "talking about it as if there is something wrong with RIM".

"Then you call the (Wall Street) Journal and get the bozo reporter in Research in Motion and you would feed that (rival) Palm's (PALM.O: Quote, Profile, Research) got a killer it's going to give away," he said. "These are all the things that you must do on a day like today and if you're not doing it, maybe you shouldn't be in the game."

"It might cost me $15 million or ......"

in the 3/31/86 ny times, they had an article on "wall street's well off upstarts". in there, they have this quote:

"there isn't anything i see in a store i can't buy" said 31 year old jim cramer, a retail broker at goldman sachs & company.

I think I have heard Cramer say something like that before...sounds like BS. These guys would love to think they could move a stock with a well placed phone call...I'm skeptical. You would think the person receiving these tips would probably consider it crap as well, or at least after the first time when it ends up being wrong. Besides, if it was that easy to manipulate the market, you would think Cramer could have done a lot better than even the 24% annual return he got.

And even if it is true, and that type of activity worked for them, how could someone get rich doing that, and still have an ego? It's not as though some sort of unusual talent is required to spend your career playing dirty...anyone could do that, placed in the same situation.

The "unbelievable" part is not "what he did" but that he was dumb enough to talk about on camera...and then say "I wouldn't say this on TV" - just dumb egocentric behavior IMO.
