What's the difference in thinking between a republican and democrat?

The poor and disadvantaged. Like that guy Jesus talked about.
Wealth distribution vs those with the most wins. See Jesus, above.
Tribalism vs pan-racism. See Jesus, above.

Jesus said..."You ain't from around here, so fuck off."

Funny how leftists almost always demonize Christians but invoke Jesus when they think it can advance a narrative.

But don't worry fredocurrents. Despite that:

If wasn't for Jesus we could have a rational discussion about life. Consciousness, make life for rest of us out of the womb hell of lot easier.

we could also have a rational discussion about hell of a lot more.

this doesn't make much sense, dude you are white and all the privileges that accords and has accorded for last 200 yrs. what else you got?

you are old and the World is changing fast, and don't like it

come to think of it that's probably the repubs Schick:)
By the time this whole thing changes, and it's going to change in a big way, I'll be dead and gone. I'm grateful to have lived in the time that I have. Earlier would have been much tougher, however far back you go. Later will be tougher as a result of a multitude of mistakes, greed and short sightedness. No, this is it. This is as good as it gets. The new America only goes down from here. I know how lucky I've been. Do you?

Pretty much everyone wants the same things. They want love, happiness, safety and security. The biggest difference between the right and the left that I see is that the right believes you have to work to earn these things while the left believes you're entitled to them.

I'm strongly conservative when it comes to constitutional rights. I'm somewhat liberal when it comes to social issues. I'm somewhat libertarian in my views of what the federal government should be. I don't like when liberals try to chip away at my rights, and I don't like it when conservatives try to legislate morality. I don't really fall into any predefined mold.

Tell us a bit about yourself. What principles do hold close? What specifically do you have a problem with today, and how would you chnage it?

I'm seriously interested in your response.

was Obama corrupt with the ACA? affordible healthcare for everyone regardless of wealth

We all want a level playing field, we don't have it this is why we are all pissed!! :D

In last 200 yrs there's a concentration of wealth and they buy today the govt they want. :D

C'mon thats what we are all pissed about, it's not so much about taxes, its about corruption

The keys to a viable economic system is incentive and freedom. If people have incentive and the freedom to seek out what they want, they will be productive. Productivity and effective utilization of resources leads to a higher standard of living for the community at large.

As a self employed small business owner, why should I be forced to pay at least $8,000 in healthcare for myself when I don't want it? I would have to make about $14,000 pretax, less a small tax rebate, to come up with this money. For comparison, working at a minimum wage job full time at $8.00 per hour is $16,000 per year. Instead of potentially hiring someone to expand my business, I get to pay for healthcare insurance I don't want? Furthermore, if I did want to hire someone, I would have to pay for their healthcare as my employee as well. Can you see the disincentive to hiring that forced healthcare causes? When I consider this inflated expense relative to my net savings rate, the thought of forced healthcare insurance is depressing. When I blew out my ACL playing sand lot football, I went to a surgeon, got it fixed, and paid for it out of my own pocket. Now, due to the effect on pricing and service availability of Obamacare, my cost for the same surgery when up several times and my waiting time for surgery has at least tripled. When something is paid by someone else than the user, the demand for it goes up. Way up.

Overall the best outcome for a society is for individual responsibility and freedom of choice. Where an individual gets thoroughly screwed by fate, that is where family or our church groups can step in and help.

This long term registered Democrat supports Trump and the Republican Party because the Capitalistic DNA and culture of our country are under relentless attack by the Radical Left and the wealthy enablers of CNN, MSNBC, Hollywood, Etc.

It's too late, the tipping point has passed. What I have a problem with is a media that isn't doing it's job. They decided to pick a side and push it. The government is corrupt, top to bottom, both parties. Financial institutions are corrupt. Corporate America has and is bleeding the country dry. All have teamed up to have us at each others throats while they claim the power and grab the money. Been going on for a really long time and it's about over.

cut bck on military spending
i came to this country from USSR and served in soviet army, and i know their line of thinking

if US during those years would ever cut military spending or actually abandon Europe and the world all together to its fate, to satisfy US social needs which you talking about, i guarantee you that you in Barcelona would now speak Russian, and the other half of the would now speak Chineese
