What's the deal with 32 bit true color?

A while back I had a plroblem where I couldn't get 75 Hz refresh rate when I had my colors set at true color (32 bit). I fixed the problem by going to high color (16 bit).

I just got a new computer, and it was constantly stalling or restarting every time I moved or resized a window. I switched to hiigh color, no problem.

Does this make sense to anyone?

256 color will do, i dont think winxp let u select that.

16kbit will be more than enough at this point
