I won't call him a market wizard, he is very very very good, but he struggles with parameter tuning and strategy optimization like everybody else. I know a lot about his background (especially in the last 3-4 months, him and I gotten to know each other pretty well), it is pretty vanilla. He does have a PhD in computational math. No, he doesn't trade FX. I don't want to break his confidence in saying what product set he trades, as he is notoriously secretive.
