What's going on with the US Dollar now?

The current political situation of the USA and UK is a matter of interest for the investors. Brexit is on its verge and shut down in the USA is still under a risk. Marshal Law is an option in the UK as described by the Therisa May. Complexity all around!
 
I was asking the same question. It seems that political uncertainty is in US, UK and EU so investors are just unsure in which direction to move. This situation lasts for several months now which is perfectly reflected in charts with highest volatility on GBP side

Pull up a monthly on US Dollar Index. I know it’s hard, it’s not 5-min or 1-min chart. At the 2008 low place Fib grid to the top . Then note how dollar got to 161.8% and corrected. Next stop northbound is 261.8%. And this is even if the Russians, Chinese, Iranians, Venezolanos and other America haters try to kill the Reserve Currency. All these minor movements you’re seeing are just Noise. Long $ since 2008 is the shirt I wear. Gold rallied from 261.8% a few years ago and don’t you see the nice triangle. Next stop is way down to 423.6%. That.s when I go LONG.
