My post had one intention, to shine a light on any BS rumors that were in this thread. The only interesting thing to read in this thread was the stupid piker discussion.

Adios! I have to get back to cold-calling numbers in the phone book as I "recruit" for traders...I learned this from Don Bright and I am having some success. Thanks Don! LOL!

We appreciate you being the shining light. And I apologize for even hinting that you might use the boards of ET for free advertising to promote your firm or, perish the thought, recruit for additional traders. Prior warnings to you by Baron and myself were probably just an oversight. I'm sure the upstanding citizens of Assent would never consider such a lowbrow approach. :eek:
 
Magna, come on, read the posts Jon put in this thread. Where was he once even hinting at trying to recruit traders? All he did was answer the questions. I know Baron wants advertising dollars from firms, but geez, it is a discussion board isn't it? People from Assent can't discuss things relavent to the topic at hand?

I try my best not to delete entire posts unless they are spam/off-topic/abusive thru 'n thru. Usually I simply edit out the nasty bits. Problem is, when people later come to read the somewhat sanitized version (not seeing the unedited original) they wonder what all the fuss is about. Case in point. And to answer your question, people from Assent can certainly discuss things relevant to the topic at hand, as long as they can somehow restrain themselves from pumping their firm or recruiting. Unfortunately they rarely abide by Baron's simple requirement.
 
Comparing the volume b/w two firms (and not even mentioning the other firm by name) is not "pumping or recruiting" it is simply pointing out that said firm is not going anywhere. Some people on this board are obviously a little touchy on the subject...but I don't see how that is recruiting.

I understand your concern. Especially since you trade with Assent. And, yes, we are very touchy about ET members violating in any form the no-free-advertising rule clearly laid out by Baron. Certain traders, managers, or owners of a few companies (and anyone who has been around for awhile knows which ones I'm speaking of) seem to take great relish in skirting this simple requirement. So I err on the side of caution, using my well-tuned nose to sniff out spam.
 
Thats fine, and if you want to clump JW in with those idiots last summer that is your prerogative. I have never seen him out of line though...and certainly nothing like that group you are referring to.
