What's a good trading platform with a DOM feature?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a new broker to trader ES and YM futures but need help deciding what trading platform to use. So far I am deciding between Ninjatrader, AMP, or GFF Broker however they offer multiple different platforms and I don't know which one to use.

What I want is just a just simple DOM platform to trade and don't need charting or indicators. I already use ThinkorSwim for charting and indicators and I really like their interface. I used to use the Turbo Trader 2 platform but it's no longer available and am looking for something similar to it.

Platform I'm looking at are:
https://ninjatrader.com/trading-platform/
https://www.ampfutures.com/trading-platform
https://www.gffbrokers.com/platforms/type/featured/

Can anyone suggest a good platform with DOM features?
Thanks :)

I didnt have a single issue with Ninja (only had money deposited with them a very short time so no real review) or AMP. It came down to margin requirements for me so i've stuck with AMP.

I use tradingview (and really like it), but i'm no tape reader and have heard TV sucks for that.

Turbo Trader 2 was just a rebranded RCG Onyx.

If you need a superfast, stable DOM then just go with Rithmic Pro, like TrAndy2022 suggested.

If this is futures-only, you could try Photon Trader. The best DOM in terms of stability and speed I have ever used.
I am on Quantower most of the time, but for the major announcements arbitrage in the fast market I still use Photon. Probably the best retail has to offer. Futures only.

TT, cts or photon. I would recommend Rithmics R trader but the LTQ (last traded quantity) is still broken after all these years.

I have a bit of experience, since I am trading for 25 years. I began with the Tradestation end of the 90s. I tried to implement simple strategies with Easy Language. Of course I used also Market Depth. But there was a huge time lag or slippage in my real trades, which was not seen in the backtests. So since I was a SW Dev myself at that time, I realized, that Tradestation Securities didn't have the technology to do realtime delivery of data and RT execution.

So I studied the market of platforms systematically and traded with some of them. I also tried NinjaTrader, which was in the early 2000 years the cutting edge platform for DOM Traders aside with professional tools like TT. I studied the software technologies, the kind of market access and of course the pricing.

To let my recommendation not get too long for you: Finally I found Sierra Chart (which I did not know at all before) as the ideal platform for real time traders for several reasons:
  • It is written in C from the scratch and without any object oriented overhead
  • The Software Design is directed to performance, performance, performance
  • The market data has one of the best quality of the market
  • The market date is really delivered in real time
  • Market for market they are setting up lightning fast technology (servers) within the same data centers, where the exchanges themselves are located
  • The DMA (direct market access) provide expensive direct data flow and order execution with the exchanges skipping clearing houses (brokers) systems in between
  • OK, the support is sometimes a bit rough and rigorous, the platform is a bit old school and the huge documentation is not easy to be read. But the pricing is affordable and the value / price relation is for me not reached by any other platform provider
